The grave of Keturah was found by Joan in the Concord (Church of Christ) cemetery in September 1999. She is listed in burial records at the Dodge County Historical Society in Mantorville, "Wright, Keturah Section W, DOD 28, Nov.1862 126CD23 Age 62, wife of J...R.". Keturah was listed in the 1860 Dodge County census also. Although Keturah was originally a Quaker, the fact she and John were married by a Justice of the Peace in Vermilion Co. IL and buried in the Church of Christ cemetery (Church of Christ had split from the Presbyterians) indicates she did not continue in the Quaker religion.

A genealogy by Kenneth Jacob Thornton (1212 Seabrook Ave., Cary, NC 27511-5722 (919)469-4548 was found in the library of the Illiana Genealogical Historical Library in Danville, IL, titled "Thornton's in North Carolina, Volume I". In that record Caturah (aka Keturah) Thornton is listed as the fourth child of Eli Thornton and Sarah Ramsey (out of 10 children). Kenneth Thornton estimates her birth as she is the first female in the 1815 list in the Quaker records. He also assumes she was born in North Carolina where her brother Abiah was born. He believes the family moved from there to Ohio in 1804 and has done extensive research in the records of the Quaker church to confirm this. (Also see notes under other Thornton's) A Hazel Thornton, 11551 Terra Bella, Lakeview Terrace, CA 91342 submitted the genealogical report to the Illiana History Society of which she is a member. Joan has a copy of this genealogy.

Isaac Wright died on November 19, 1911 while living in Minot, ND. He was killed in a train wreck, a head-on collision between the Great Northern fast mail train and a freight train, six miles east of Rugby, ND. Isaac was the engineer of the fast mail/passenger train Apparently a freight train headed the opposite direction missed its stop at Tunbridge due to a heavy snow storm, went 1/2 mile past its stop and met the mail/passenger train head on. The news article in the New London newspaper states that at the age of 20 Isaac started railroading on the Devils Lake, Minot and Grand Forks division of the Great Northern Railroad. The article also states he was a married man and leaves a wife and three small children (in Minot). (Funeral @ Presbyterian Church in New London and burial in Oak Hill cemetery, New London).
