In the passing away of this noble woman there is felt a deep loss of a devoted and unselfish mother. Whatever the time she was always ready to bestow her kindness and aid. Her life. was one continued thought for her loved ones, and now that she has passed away the children and other relatives miss the tenderness of her sweet loving spirit
Ann Elizabeth Savage knew the toils, the sufferings and the hopes of Pioneer days. She had seen the wonderful development of the state, just a few being left that can relate to the strenuous pioneer times. The prosperity and progress of this state is; due to such brave and sacrificing souls like unto that of Mrs. Savage. Her Christian faith and fortitude were exceedingly strong and standfast. When her pastor, just preceding her in death, asked if she was trusting in her Savior, she replied with wonderful assurance, "Yes, indeed, I surely do." Such a testimony revealed her Christian Character. And this memory of her precious life will be a wall of comfort and source of inspiration to all who are left to mourn her passing. Mrs. Savage has been a. consistent member of the Methodist Church of Macy, Indiana, for many years.
