The Johnson family remained close to "Birdie" (Bertha) and Martin Johnson, was well as other members of the Ramsett family through the years. Joan Schuette lived with Birdie and Martin one summer (1949) while working at the Lakeland Hotel in Willmar. Etta Pease was a second cousin to Birdie.
