An All American Road Trip - Part Four
(The Grand Teton - Day Two)
May 31 - June 22, 2012
Day Two changed our perspective just a little bit with a mountain storm coming in and changing a sunny bright day into a cloudy wet day. Yet, we all decided to persevere - we had driven too many miles to allow a little weather to interfer with our sightseeing.
Back to Jenny Lake and our Scenic Cruise
As we arrived the Lake was quite peaceful and calm - it was just the calm before the storm.

Could there be anything to disturb our peace and tranquility?

Changes, I think, are coming!
The Mountain and the Sky are having a conversation. :(
You will see some forest fire damage in some of the upcoming pictures - 1988, 1993 (especially), and 1998 were hard years for Grand Teton and Yellowstone. We were told that it is a natural cycle with the forest regenerating itself - out of death comes new life. It was still difficult to see the extent of the burn. Some of the worst devastation we saw in Yellowstone as we were leaving the Park and heading for Billings, MT.
The water falls once were fed by a glacier but now it has become a snow pack.
Some of the remaining pictures will probably look familiar but we had two photographers taking pictures.
